Gutters are the cheapest part of a roof to fix and the part most likely to cause expensive damage when they are ignored. Overflow runs behind the fascia, into the eaves lining and down inside the wall cavity. By the time it shows on the inside wall, the timber behind it has been wet for a long time.

This deserves its own warning in Liverpool and Fairfield, because of how many houses here have had a flat or near-flat section added behind them.
When an extension or an enclosed patio runs up against the main roof, the water between the two has to go somewhere. Often the answer was a narrow box gutter or a valley gutter squeezed into that junction. Those details only work if they are wide enough, deep enough, have an overflow, and get cleaned.
When they fail, water does not run down the outside of the house. It goes into the ceiling of the room below. If you have a leak that only shows up in long heavy rain, in a room that sits under a join between two roof sections, this is the first thing we check.

If you are already having a roof restoration or a roof replacement, do the gutters at the same time. The access gear is already up, the roof edge is already exposed, and it costs less combined than it does as two visits. We price it as a separate line so you can still say no.
The inspection and the written quote cost nothing. Work is carried out by established, licensed and insured roofing contractors working to NSW Fair Trading requirements.
Gutter work takes us right across the area, from Chipping Norton and Moorebank near the Georges River to Canley Vale, Villawood and the rest of the service areas.

Check the easy one first. If leaves and grit are sitting in the gutter, clearing it may be all it needs. If it is clean and still overflowing, the usual causes are a gutter hung flat or falling the wrong way, not enough downpipes for the roof area, or a downpipe that is choked below ground. We can tell which within a few minutes on site.
Sometimes. Leaf guard also keeps out wind-blown grit, roof tile sand and nesting birds, and it stops the gutter filling with debris from a neighbour's tree. On a single-storey house you can clear gutters yourself and may not need it. On a two-storey, or on a roof where valleys dump straight into a gutter, it usually pays for itself in call-outs you do not make.
Yes. If one run has failed and the rest is sound, we replace that run and match the profile and colour as closely as we can. Be aware that gutters on a house tend to fail in the same order they were installed, so a patch on a thirty-year-old gutter often buys a couple of years rather than a decade. We will give you both prices.
Because the gutter has been overflowing at the back edge, not the front. That happens when the gutter sits too high against the roof, when the tiles do not overhang far enough into it, or when debris has built up behind the brackets. The water runs down the fascia instead of into the gutter. Fixing the gutter without fixing the fascia leaves you with rot under new metal.
By roof area, not by looks. Each downpipe can only carry so much water, so a long gutter collecting a big roof needs more than one. Rear additions are where this goes wrong most often, because the extension added roof area and nobody added a downpipe. We work it out on site and show you where the new ones need to land.
